The vibe is edgy and fresh, making it the go-to for visitors wanting to immerse themselves in Cape Town’s buzzing cultural scene. The eclectic decor, filled with contemporary South African art, makes every corner Instagram-worthy.

What are the rooms like?

Rooms at Gorgeous George are the epitome of hip yet casual. Featuring funky custom-designed furniture, Marshall Bluetooth speakers and smart TVs, they offer a tech-savvy retreat. The decor is playful yet sophisticated, with bold colours and quirky art pieces. The one-bedroom suite we stayed in had a separate lounge area perfect for chilling out after a day exploring the city. The mix of vintage and contemporary elements made it feel like a stylish urban loft. Waking up to seriously good Truth coffee from the in-room French press was a highlight, setting the tone for another beautiful day in Cape Town.

The rooftop at Gigi’s is where it’s at – whether you’re sipping on craft cocktails or diving into some delicious bites, it’s the place to be. The poolside jam sessions and live music create an electric atmosphere. The hotel also offers walking tours that gave us a real taste of Cape Town’s street culture. With its blend of modern amenities and lively social scene, Gorgeous George captures the spirit of the city in a very personal way.

Sea Point and Green Point are beloved for their seaside promenades and diverse dining options, while De Waterkant charms with its narrow streets lined with trendy boutiques and cafes. The Central Business District (CBD) buzzes with business activity and historic landmarks, contrasting with the lush greenery of Gardens and the upscale residential vibes of Clifton and Camps Bay, renowned for their stunning beaches and glamorous lifestyle.
