We’re currently obsessed with African Jacquard’s Bogolan bed throws. We’re loving Anatomy Design’s 2023 Cape Town showroom, which brings a touch of Joburg’s glitz to the De Waterkant design hub. Founded by Andrea Kleinloog and Megan Hesse, their award-winning furniture brand has made this intimate space feel like a perfectly curated jewel box. Located among some of Cape Town’s best design stores, the showroom features a mix of larger statement pieces, like their elegant sofas, and smaller items such as mirrors, vases and scatter cushions. It’s the perfect blend of Joburg glamour with Cape Town’s laid-back vibe, and we always find ourselves tempted to take home something special every time we visit.

Whether you’re looking for a simple yet beautiful bare bulb or an intricate lighting piece, the trek to Hoi P’loy’s Salt River showroom is so worth it. Founded in 2013 by Ploy Phiromnam and Guy van der Walt, this local brand has become a go-to for custom-designed, vintage-inspired lighting. Their attention to detail is unmatched – everything from their precision-engineered thumbscrews to their acid-etched nameplates showcases their commitment to quality. Most of their products are crafted in Cape Town, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern design. We love that you can customise nearly everything, making each piece uniquely yours.
