01
The Camps Bay neighbourhood is all about laid-back coastal luxury. Situated between the Twelve Apostles mountain range and the Atlantic Ocean, this neighbourhood offers stunning views and a laid-back vibe. The main attraction here is the pristine beach, perfect for sunbathing, swimming or enjoying a cocktail at one of the trendy beachfront bars. Camps Bay is also home to some of Cape Town’s finest dining establishments, like the renowned Codfather Seafood & Sushi. What we also love about Camps Bay is the accessibility to outdoor activities, we recommend hiking up Lion’s Head for the ultimate sunset views! Staying in Camps Bay puts you close to the action but with a relaxed, seaside feel – ideal if you’re looking to enjoy Cape Town’s natural beauty without straying too far from good food and nightlife.

Sea Point is the kind of place where you can start your day with a jog along the promenade and end it with a seafood dinner at an oceanfront local restaurant. The Sea Point Promenade is the heartbeat of the area. This expansive, paved walkway runs for several kilometres along the coastline, from Mouille Point to Bantry Bay, with plenty of opportunities for jogging, cycling and outdoor gym sessions along the promenade. The neighbourhood is also home to the iconic Sea Point Pavilion Swimming Pool, a public pool with panoramic ocean views. If you prefer a beach destination, Sea Point doesn’t disappoint. Here you can find Saunders Rock Beach, a small, rocky beach known for its natural tidal pool. Or visit Queens Beach, another small and relatively quiet beach located just beyond the Sea Point Promenade. We also recommend visiting the Mojo Market when staying in this neighbourhood. Located on Regent Road, the market is open seven days a week and has become a favourite spot for both locals and visitors looking for great food, drinks and live entertainment.

Green Point is one of the most lively suburbs in Cape Town, popular for its proximity to some of the city’s best attractions. One of its most iconic landmarks is the Cape Town Stadium, which played host to the 2010 FIFA World Cup and continues to be a venue for major events and concerts. Just next door is the Green Point Park. The park is divided into different sections, including a biodiversity garden that showcases indigenous plants, a play park for children and several open lawns perfect for picnics. One of the best things about Green Point is its location. It’s within walking distance of the V&A Waterfront, Sea Point Promenade and the city centre. The Green Point area has several highly-rated restaurants, such as Pigalle, Giovanni’s and Lievita, which all offer exceptional food and service. Accommodation in Green Point ranges from boutique guesthouses to luxury hotels and quirky Airbnbs, making this neighbourhood a great choice thanks to the diversity in not only attractions but also dining and accommodation options.

If you want to experience Cape Town’s vibrant city life with a touch of nature, Gardens offers the perfect balance. The area is home to the Company’s Garden, a historic park that dates back to the 1650s and offers a peaceful escape with its lush greenery and historic monuments. Kloof Street, one of the main thoroughfares in Gardens, is lined with trendy cafes, restaurants and boutique shops. The neighbourhood also boasts several cultural attractions, including the South African National Gallery and the Labia Theatre, an independent cinema that screens a mix of mainstream and art-house films. We think Gardens is one of the best places to stay in Cape Town if you enjoy cultural experiences by day and lively restaurants and bars by night.

The V&A Waterfront is one of Cape Town’s most popular and iconic destinations. This bustling precinct is a hub of activity, with over 450 retail outlets, a wide array of restaurants and attractions like the Two Oceans Aquarium and the Zeitz MOCAA. Stroll along the vibrant marina, watch buskers perform or hop on a sunset cruise to take in the city’s skyline from the water. The area is also home to the iconic Cape Wheel, offering panoramic views of Table Mountain and the Atlantic. The V&A Waterfront is also home to some of the best luxury hotel stays in Cape Town. Staying here means having Cape Town’s best attractions right on your doorstep, making the V&A Waterfront one of the most convenient and exciting places to stay in the city.
